What: This is our most complicated sport. It is a team sport with many dynamics and 6 players on the court at all times with at least 10 on the team total. We rent gym space, host matches, travel and interact with other schools quite closely. This is the sport best suited for cheering by far, a real spectator sport that lends itself to Evangel’s signature enthusiasm on the bleachers; in short, the sub-sport for volleyball is cheering for volleyball. Yes, cheering is basically a sport in and of itself, no cost, all ages included, some discretion is advised! The girls are in a league with some top quality volleyball teams and we are building talent to compete as unto the Lord.
Requirements:
- $200 sports fee (due 2 weeks after season start)
- Sports physical (due prior to first practice)
- Signed a Raggant Conduct form and Academic Expectations form
- 7 practices required prior to first contest/game
- Equipment:
- Volleyball shoes
- Black shorts with spandex
- Knee pads
- Jovial Warrior approach to life
